Well I guess I’ll take the opportunity with my first blog to introduce myself to the blogging world.  My name is Mack and I will be one of fairway golf’s new bloggers here on wordpress.

I currently live in South Florida and love my ability to play golf year ’round.  I currently carry a 5.8 handicap index and try to play at least once a week.  I play Ping G15 woods, Taylor Made R9 irons, and a Scotty Cameron Hollywood putter.  I don’t think there is a much more relaxing activity than hitting balls at the range for an hour while listening to music.

Not only do I enjoy playing golf, but I enjoy watching it as well.  My favorite tournament to watch by far is the Masters, with the US Open as a close second.  My favorite golfer is Tiger Woods, and I can’t wait to see him walking around golf courses like he owns the place and winning tournaments by 8 strokes again.  He will be back soon, he’s too much of an athlete and competitor to not be great again.  I can’t stand the Euro movement going on in the professional golf world right now, and I’m starting to get angry at some of the young American’s for their inability to win big tournaments, although I have faith that we will be back on top sooner rather than later.

That’s just a quick introduction to my game and my golf preferences.  I’m sure much more will come out as I continue blogging for fairway golf.  As for The Players this weekend…
