Since 1979 to 1983, Owner Toshi gained professional experience and insight as golf equipment sales manager at the renown Walter Keller Golf Shop & School.
After gaining further experience as a Engineering Manager at Kyocera for many years Toshi and his wife established a small business under the name of “Fairway Golf & Tennis” in July of 1991. His fascination with golf physics, and golf clubs anatomy originates from his Engineering studies at the Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto. Toshi has built a reputation for both himself and Fairway Golf, that is based on attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality of products based on their engineering and technology.
Here at Fairway Golf, Toshi has built a team of golf experts that not only know and play the game to a very high level, but also understand the fundamental details of golf dynamics which give players an edge on the course. Built around the highest quality selection of golf equipment from the USA and beyond and a team of talented golf pros we strive to find the right equipment for the right player.
In 1992, Toshi started to promote Scotty Cameron Putter to collector’s markets and successfully, Scotty Cameron putter became a best quality brand, used by top PGA Tour Putters today.
Fairwaygolf established a Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) Fairway Golf Club in 1992, which includes Hosting a monthly golf tournament, currently counting non-stop for over 20 years!
From 1994, Toshi created a golf trading business between United States and Japan through phone interaction, and the worldwide web under fairwaygolf.com. We also expanded throughout Europe by 1999 under fairwaygolfusa.com and gained a strong following in the US. And in 2009 fairwaygolfusa.com officially opened to public as a e-golf shop with over 40,000 products to choose from.
