Scotty Cameron has introduced two new limited-edition Phantom OC Spec III putters: the Phantom 5 OC Spec III and Phantom 11R OC Spec III. Both use Scotty Cameron’s low-torque Onset-Center design, pairing a centered shaft position with near-zero toe flow to help promote a more square-to-path stroke. The release also gets a full all-black treatment with a black PVD finish, black steel shaft, black Matador grip, and three high-contrast sightlines designed to make alignment easier.

The two models give golfers different shapes to choose from. The Phantom 5 OC Spec III uses a more compact wingback mallet design and adds a full-face Studio Carbon Steel insert with chain-link milling for softer feel and feedback. The Phantom 11R OC Spec III is the larger, higher-MOI option, with a more rounded profile and full-face chain-link milling.

What Does OC Mean?

OC stands for Onset-Center. The shaft sits slightly behind the leading edge of the putter and aligns with the center of gravity, which helps reduce torque and face rotation through the stroke.

The OC models are designed for golfers who prefer less face rotation and more of a straight-back, straight-through or low-arc putting motion.

Phantom 5 OC Spec III

The Phantom 5 OC Spec III is the more compact of the two models.

Its wingback mallet shape gives golfers added stability without the larger footprint of a high-MOI mallet. It uses a Studio Carbon Steel full-face insert with chain-link milling, along with near-zero toe flow and three high-contrast sightlines.

Phantom 11R OC Spec III

The Phantom 11R OC Spec III is the larger and more stable option.

Its rounded mallet shape is designed around higher MOI and added resistance to twisting through impact. It also uses the Onset-Center straight shaft, near-zero toe flow, three alignment lines, and the same black PVD finish.

Limited-Edition Black Finish

The Spec III release is easy to recognize.

Both models use a glare-reducing black PVD finish, black shaft, black Matador midsize grip, and three bright sightlines that frame the ball at address.

Which Model Makes More Sense?

The Phantom 5 OC Spec III makes more sense for golfers who want a smaller, cleaner-looking mallet while still getting low-torque stability.

The Phantom 11R OC Spec III is the better fit for golfers who prefer a larger mallet shape, more visual stability, and higher MOI.

Both are designed for players who want less face rotation through the stroke and a more square-to-path feel.
